First Participate for Good Mandela Day Library
The 10th of April will be a day to remember for the Oppermanskraal Primary school when a bright red container school library is delivered and opened. Painted as a Danish Flag in honour of the Danish Donor Mr. Rene Sindlev and his family, the library will provide a welcomed place of reading and learning to many young minds. The school located 20km outside Bergville in KZN shapes the minds of young rural kids and the Old Mutual Joberg2C mountain bike race has teamed up with the Participate for Good initiative to supply 9 Mandela Day container school libraries along the entire route.
The Participate for Good campaign will aim to deliver the 9 libraries over a period of 3 years and the first two are already secured with the 3rd well under progress. The race route will take the competitors directly passed the Library so they can see the impact of generating funds for a worthy cause while having fun themselves. The second unit is destined for the Umkamaas valley and will be delivered during the race as well.
