| The idea for the 46664 Bangle was born out of more than just a need to provide ongoing funding for the 46664 campaign, but out of a desire to directly influence the lives of those who are most affected by HIV/AIDS. When you buy a bangle you are not making a once-off donation, you are helping to form a sustainable revenue stream that will benefit 46664?s programmes to help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and to fund community organisation that assist those most affected by this epidemic.. The initiative is a uniquely South African one, making use of the valuable resources the country has ? Silver, Gold and Platinum. The other precious resource South Africa has in abundance is the positive attitude of its people. What makes each bangle so special is that it creates jobs for some of our incredible people ? taking them off the streets and giving them access to healthcare and education. The 46664 bangles are made with South African precious metals and hand finished by skilled craftsmen, who have been infected or affected by HIV or Aids. The 46664 bangle will be available from selected Montblanc boutiques worldwide, from the 27th June 2008. The first 46664 bangle edition will be available in Platinum, 18ct Gold and Silver and come in two different sizes. All bangles are individually numbered and will also be engraved with Nelson Mandela?s historic prison number whilst he was imprisoned on Robben Island. |
